It looks like seven years ago today I posted the first chapter of "Journey of the Three Failures." I'd say starting this completely different project now is far less of a 'celebrating the anniversary' work, and more of a 'sweet, I don't really have to go out of my way to make these numbers line up... let's do it!' choice.

When Kill la Kill was almost through its original run, my mind spawned this bittersweet, post-apocalyptic KlK oneshot "At the End of Days" ( www.fanfiction.net/s/10230396/… ). Some time's passed, but the fact remains that Kill la Kill, in all its brilliant nonsense and charm, somehow earned a place in my heart like only a handful of series have ^^

I'd had an idea of where this story might go if I continued it, but didn't want to do so unless I felt sure I could (1) maintain quality similar to that of the oneshot, and (2) keep it compact. Sorry, but I don't forsee any more 700,000+ word fanfiction epics in my future, haha.

That said, inspiration struck recently, and I'm pretty happy with how this is turning out! I'm currently almost finished writing this continuation/reboot, which I plan to update on a weekly basis. I'll actually be off to Japan for some time soon, and won't be doing much (if any) writing on the trip, but I have enough done to update regularly with the prepared chapters I already have.

This will be posted distinctly from the original At the End of Days oneshot, due to a request that that one be left as is if I were to continue it. I'll probably rename the oneshot "At the End of Days (Original)", and post the reboot as "At the End of Days."
